37,000 sq. ft.
The 37,000 sq. ft. educational facility delivers both high school and post secondary technology and trades programs to the Fort Frances area. The building accommodates administrative and educational space, including industrial arts, culinary arts, library and multi-purpose classrooms.
Its singular arched roof is intended to reference the traditional longhouse. The building structure consists entirely of an independent glulam frame with structural insulated panels (SIPS) forming the entirety of the roof and wall envelope.
THIS BUILDING RECEIVED THE 2021 CANADIAN WOOD COUNCIL ONTARIO WOOD WORKS AWARD FOR BEST INSTITUTION.
